I'm trying to get a play list put together on my iPod to run to, so today had my iPod out. I decided to let Tyler listen to it once I figured out how fast the songs were that I was wanting to duplicate speeds on. Can I just tell you how hard it is to think strait when she is sitting right in my ear singing, very off tune if I might add. I think she only has two notes that she sings between. So I decided to pull out the camera and get her "show" on video. Its just about a minute long, but well worth watching...okay, maybe not as good as Tanner's tooth video, but funny still the same. I'm also going to add a video of Jake break dancing. Quite impressive for a two year old! :)

Boarderline Torture??
Tanner has been bugging us the last week or so with a loose tooth. Every night its the same routine, "mom, I have a tooth ache." Mom:"Tanner, which tooth is it?" Tanner:"Its my front tooth, its loose." Every night we had this conversation. Well tonight, this tooth decided it was done being his tooth...or really Tyson decided it for the tooth, but I have never been so entertained. Tanner is a little timid when it comes to inflicting pain or anything of the sort. I'm just glad I had the thought when I did to grab the camera. Tyson was trying to convince Tanner that it wouldn't hurt very bad because the root was gone, it just needed to be pulled. Well, after further inspection the root of the tooth was only half gone. It took a little elbow grease to get it out, but 30 seconds later, Tanner now has a visit scheduled from the tooth fairy. I'm going to warn you, its a loud video so check your volume before playing it. Its pretty funny!
I hope this video works, I forgot how to upload a video...its been a while.

No Martha Stewart, but...
I really do my best to try and duplicate recipes I've seen or decorations, but to no avail. I am not a crafty or creative person by any means, but I have to say, this time around, I think I did a pretty dang good job!! I saw this cookie idea here and thought I'd try it for our Great to be Eight program that we had tonight. Little did I know how good this cookie recipe was! These cookies turned out so soft. I added my own ingredient which was 2 tsp of lemon extract as well which made them that much better. I used the Soft Sugar Cookie recipe. The recipe can be found here. The frosting recipe is there as well. Mine didn't look as good as the ones I got the idea from, but I think besides the frosting color, we got pretty close. The best part was when the bishop got up to give his closing remarks, he said the only thing he's been looking at is the cookies that were placed on the table as our decoration. He's a pretty funny guy. Anyway, I will definitely be making these cookies again.
Also, these two pictures are too cute not to post. Jefferson has found one of Jakes toys which is a basketball. Well, it pulls apart to fit different smaller balls in it. This time around he was just playing with half of it, but found that when he put his face in it an made sounds, they sounded funny so he'd keep repeating the sound. He got a pretty good laugh over it.
And who can resist rub a dub dub, two men in the tub! These two are best buddies. I love that during the day, when I'm nursing Jefferson getting ready to put him down for a nap, Jake will come up on the couch next to me and give Jefferson a kiss and a hug and in the cutest little voice say, "I yuv you Jesson. He's my buddy." Then he'll go on to tell me how cute he is. We have a fun little conversation. I hope these two end up being really good buddies that get into trouble with each other. I know I'm probably going to eat those words in the years to come, but I really do hope they end up like that, then decide its better not to get in trouble and still be good buds.
